4. Who are we?
a.
Whatsapp/Telegram is not helping in carrying out
the voluntary effort, as they sequential messaging app and with time, the tasks
and ideas get dumped.
b.
(i) Need reporting, (ii) Verification by
Volunteer (iii) Dissemination of the verified need to general public to donate
(iv) After fulfilment of need, upload of status and (v) Dissemination of the fulfilment
of the need to general public and to request them not to consider the need any
further.

All these 5 steps are essential part of any Voluntary
Work Cycle

Handling them with Whatsapp/Telegram/Facebook/Blog/Twitter
is extremely difficult and inefficient.

Since Tsunami 2004, many volunteers have sought
these kind of tools but except for an effort in the way of https://keralarescue.in/ not much help has
been extended or effort done.
Need registration via Blog-Google Form/Verification/Display in Blog/Link
of Blog sent to Donor/Update Blog after Fulfilment
i.
Need is obtained via Google Form in Blog or Social
Media or Phone Helpline
ii.
Verification is done by Volunteers. Verified Need
is posted as a blog post.
iii.
A message with the blog link is sent as social
media message, with request to Donor to see the blog status before extending
help to avoid duplication of help.
iv.
Once it is learnt that help has been extended,
Blog is updated with status #fulfilled.
v.
This model is being followed by the volunteers
now.
Need registration via Website-Google Form/Verification/Display in Website/
Request+Link of Website sent to Donor/Update Website after Fulfilment
i.
Need is obtained via Google Form in Website or Social
Media or Phone Helpline
ii.
Verification is done by Volunteers. Verified Need
is posted as a webpage update.
iii.
A message with the webpage link is sent as
social media message, with request to Donor to see the webpage status before
extending help to avoid duplication of help.
iv.
Once it is learnt that help has been extended, webpage
is updated with status #fulfilled.
v.
This model is under development by volunteers
now.
Need registration via Website/Verification status uploaded via Vol. Module/Display
in Website/Request+Link of Website sent to Donor/Update Website after Fulfilment
by Donor & Volunteer
i.
Need is obtained via Form in Website or Social
Media or Phone Helpline. Need is not posted till verification status updation
by Volunteer.
ii.
Verification is done by Volunteers. Verification
is updated by Volunteer using Volunteer Module and it is dynamically updated and
posted as a webpage update.
iii.
A message with the webpage link is sent to
Donors as social media message, with request to Donor to see the webpage status
before extending help to avoid duplication of help.
iv.
Once it is learnt that help has been extended, webpage
is updated with status #fulfilled. Updation can be done by Donors and is
finally closed by Volunteer.
Detailed Features:
i.
General Public should be allowed to add new need
in an easy way.
ii.
Volunteers to call, refine, cross verify the
need and also Grade the urgency and update the need request (can edit all
columns) and publish it in the website.
iii.
Donors (of Goods/Services) should be allowed to add
their offer in an easy way.
iv.
Volunteers to call, refine and authenticate the
offer of help by Donor.
v.
System will automatically try to match the donor
offer with needs and display it to Volunteer for approval
vi.
Volunteers to formally match the donor supply
with need demand, thereby reduce the need and also block the donor offer.
vii.
Also allow donor to directly choose a need and
offer the help.
viii.
After actual satisfaction by delivery of help
wither needy or donor can mark the need as fulfilled. Final closure of need
request by volunteers.
ix.
Aggregate demands and donor offers are displayed
region wise and also category wise
x.
Volunteers can change the priority of needs and
also add new needs on their own.
xi.
Master data of all villages and vital statistics
can be captured in a form and used by volunteers as per their requirement.
xii.
Volunteers can create expected demand as per their
experience.
xiii.
Volunteers: registration is provided and
senior volunteers can mark comments and allocate them to departments and edit
them too.
xiv.
Suppliers of various goods and services need
for voluntary works: Suppliers can register in the website and volunteers
can grade and enter comments
This model will be development by volunteers in near future.
Admin to add a new disaster/requirement. For any disaster or requirement,
a new web page is created.
i.
One can switch from one to another within the main
site. Say for example Ockhi, Kerala Floods, Gaja, Delhi Air Pollution,
GBW-Gender Based Violence etc.
ii.
All functionality of a project is replicated
with modification as decided by the Volunteers.
i.
Volunteer’s own Web or App platforms to share
information, communicate with one another and thus avoid
whatsapp/telegram/facebook/Twitter
ii.
This Web page which will only ask a user id
creation and password without even asking email id or mobile number.
iii.
Registered Members can create chat rooms and
start discussions. Eg: Chat room for Gaja Cyclone can be created then 4
districts wise sub rooms and then subject wise sub rooms say Psychology Counselling,
Medical aid, Farmers Help, Fisherman Help, Women, Education, Economic Sub Rooms
etc can be created. The group will be connected like a tree. Branches can be
created to allow volunteers to focus on certain area or subject. (Like
erstwhile Orkut)
iv.
In case a volunteer creates nuisance, moderator
can mark them need moderation. So s/he will lose right to post messages without
moderation.
v.
It should have all the best and essential
features of Orkut, Telegram & Whatsapp.
vi.
There cannot be any secrets among volunteers and
thus no secret chats. All chat will be available for world to see.
